FARMette is a one-day music networking and showcasing conference designed to elevate the voices of folk and singer-songwriters in Indiana while fostering connections with industry partners who hire them—festivals, fairs, venues, and more. This conference celebrates the transformative power of music and community, inviting participants to rekindle their sense of purpose and creativity.
With engaging panels like How to Network and Build at Folk Alliance and Best Practices for Home Studio Recording, FARMette provides invaluable resources for artists and industry professionals alike. Together, we’ll explore the magic of storytelling through song, uncovering the awe and wonder that fuels artistic endeavors and strengthens our shared cultural fabric.

FARMette 2026 will take place at IU South Bend. There will be a kick-off event hosted by South Bend Venues Parks & Art featuring Bobcat Opossum from 6 - 8 pm at Seitz Park.

The inaugural 2024 FARMette Conference was a landmark event for musicians and music industry professionals in Indiana. Held in Bloomington, this sold-out gathering brought together artists, industry partners, and enthusiasts for an unparalleled day of networking, learning, and showcasing.
With music around every corner, the conference featured inspiring panels, dynamic performances, and invaluable career insights. Panels featured label executives, international music industry experts, and Indiana venue, radio, and festival legends who spoke to and networked with seasoned music community partners and up and coming artists. Everyone left empowered by new connections and creative opportunities. FARMette 2024 proved to be an experience like no other—celebrating the vibrant folk music community and setting the stage for even greater events to come.
